Literature Text
an old book is
something like a dead grandmother;
silent everywhere but in your mind
something like a dead grandmother;
silent everywhere but in your mind
Literature
lost but never found
september/october/november/december passed
and not once did i utter your name to my father.
never did i breathe a single syllable about our injustices.
the world never knew how these 2 raging skyscrapers came to be.
through the months of false beginnings,
i spiritualized 4 a.m. walks to abandoned amusement parks.
thought God was somewhere in the rusted roller coaster tracks
speaking in clicks and gusts of wind.
that's what happens when human bones
search for misplaced forgiveness.
we garnered our sincerest apologies
when we swapped wristwatches.
we lost all sense of boundary
when you became an owl
and i blended into the darkness.
Literature
philosophy has lost its appeal
Your absence isn't the elephant in the room;
It’s the invisible parasites lounging in the floorboards
Just writhing for a taste of lonely flesh.
My repaired left half is gone;
Without you, I’m faulty once more:
The half-blind broken wind-up doll is here again.
There aren't words to describe the emptiness:
just return soon.
Literature
Lost Lights
Peter Pan, with his hands cupped,
tempts the Moon Mother with his smile.
Shy stars peek past her skirts,
wondering why such a soft soul
holds heartache an ally.
"Look closer, children; he's here
to guide ghosts--lost lights--home."

i feel like this could be expanded but not sure if i should. kinda like it how it is.
